Privacy policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

This policy covers the Pebblewit website (pebblewit.com), the games you play on it, and the Pebblewit apps, including Wordfellows for iPhone and Android. It explains what data is used and why.

What stays on your device

Your game progress (levels solved, stars, daily results and streaks), your hint balance and your settings are stored on your device: in your browser's local storage on the website, or in the app's storage on your phone. We do not run accounts and we do not collect your name, email address or contacts. If you clear your browser's site data or delete the app, this progress is removed.

Advertising on the website

The website and its games show ads provided by Google AdSense.

To show and measure ads, Google and its partners may process your IP address, approximate location, device and browser information, and how you interact with ads. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Advertising in the apps

The free versions of our apps show ads between levels, provided by Google AdMob and its mediation partners. These providers may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location, device information and how you interact with ads.

Purchases in the apps

If you buy "Remove ads forever", the purchase is processed by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to confirm the purchase and restore it on your devices. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and the purchase receipt, not your payment details.

Reminders and ratings in the apps

If you turn on the daily reminder, your phone schedules a local notification and nothing is sent to us. The app may ask the App Store or Google Play to show its standard rating prompt; any rating you leave goes to the store.

Our games on other websites

Some of our games are also published on game portals. When you play there, the portal shows its own ads and its own privacy policy applies.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

Children

Our games are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
